Type 1 diabetics tend to use insulin pump in modern times. You would think manufacturer of the pump would done this small but significant upgrade, but apparently not profitable enough.
Doesnt personally affect me, I am type 2 and have blood sugar controlled through diet. But I have lot sympathy for those suffering from type 1, especially kids that didnt ask for such a mill stone around their neck.
For those that dont know, type 1 diabetics dont make enough insulin, usually defective pancreas. Most are born this way though damage to pancreas from accident, etc, can do same. Type 2 make normal amounts insulin but are insulin resistant. We either need to control through low carb diet or by injecting excess of insulin or there are some other expensive medications that let you get rid of some glucose through urination.
