Make computer into a clock

Saw this and interesting. Played with it, the screensaver flip clock works well in win10, there are actually two choices for such. And other clocks that will maximize to full screen. Or save html files for online clock to computer and run that file from browser. The html/svg file clocks work fine windows or linux or any system with browser that can handle them. They dont work in some older very minimalist browsers.

Harder in Puppy since xscreensaver doesnt like running in root and Puppy runs root by default. There is however a script on Puppy forum how to make it run in root. Had to also add a missing library for gluqlo. But it was available through Puppy package manager.

Other clock apps available that can maximize to full screen in both linux and windows. Alarms too. I thought it was kinda cool way to reuse an old computer still functional but too slow for much day to day use unless you want to run period games or something. Only trouble lot of old computers made lot fan noise. You want one that fan will idle down or else a fanless one. These old fanless tablets and cloudbooks/chromebooks be great for this. Seriously you dont need much computing power to run a clock. Yet makes them useful and keeps them out of landfill. Those flipclock screensavers really show up well in dark room even with screen brightness minimized. Same with some of the others like linux "swisswatch" app. Easier on eye with switch watch if you configure it to black background and white hands/dial markings.
