You would think a count down timer would be standard in any operating system.  its not.  Least in linux.  Oh you can make one in terminal, but I mean an nice big colorful full screen one. None I found, least no independent ones, not built into a particular desktop.

Well I found one:   https://sourceforge.net/projects/time-limit/files/   There is an linux rpm version and a windows exe version.  Now easiest way to use a rpm in Debian/Ubuntu related systems, use a program called "alien"   Then something like:

sudo alien -ci /path_to_rpm

So anyway works in MINT and Bodhi.  One bug I found.  There is an option to run a command after it reaches zero.  This does not work, I was trying to use it to play an mp3 siren sound with a commandline mp3 player, I used one called mpg123.  Nothing.  Nothing wrong with the command, works when I run it in terminal. The alternate exit command does work.  I think a noise of some kind would be useful.
